Artist Statement
I am a watermedia painter captivated by the fleeting moments of everyday life. My work draws inspiration from motherhood, shared experiences with my children, and the beauty of ordinary moments. Through my children and my paintings, I’ve learned to embrace presence and find joy in life’s simple offerings. Using watercolor and gouache, I work quickly to capture the essence of my subjects, emphasizing movement, mood, and spontaneity. My paintings explore design, tone, light, and color harmony to evoke joy and nostalgia. Through plein air sessions, I gather inspiration and refine my visual language, striving to create expressive works that invite viewers into a shared celebration of life’s fleeting joys.
